Dog wee, vomit and poo — yes, once you've lifted the mess itself. The spray's job is what soaked in underneath, which is the part still there a week later.

Cat wee — yes, and it's the harder job. Cat urine is more concentrated than dog urine and the smell sharpens as it breaks down, which is why so many cleaners seem to work for a day and then it's back. It's the category we reached #1 in on Amazon AU in August 2026. A spot they've marked repeatedly holds more than one treatment's worth — treat it two or three times across a week rather than drowning it once.

Puppies, senior pets, cats that miss the tray, and the odd sick night: same product, same method.

Usually not, but be realistic about it. A fresh accident is a one-treatment job. Something that has been sitting in the carpet for months has travelled further down, so treat the whole patch rather than the visible mark, spray until it is properly wet instead of misted, and expect to go again after it dries.

If it has soaked all the way through the backing into the underlay, no surface product reaches that — including this one. At that point, it is professional extraction or replacing the underlay, and we would rather tell you that than take your money.

It is not bad behaviour — it is chemistry. Your pet can still smell their own scent marker, and that marker reads as this is the spot. While it is there, your training is fighting biology.

This spray is designed to neutralise odour at the source rather than mask it, which addresses what is drawing them back. It is not a training product and we will not promise you it stops the habit on its own. Heavily soaked areas may need a second application, and set-in accidents in carpet backing are harder than fresh ones.

Often, yes — plenty of people find the mark lifts along with the smell.

But we don't sell it as a stain remover, and we will not promise that a set-in mark will always come out. That depends on the fibre, the surface and how long it has been sitting there.

Buy it for the odour. If the mark improves as well, treat that as a bonus rather than the promise.

Enzyme cleaners rely on live bacteria to break the residue down, so they need moisture, the right temperature and time — often an hour or more — and they lose potency sitting on a shelf. They also stop working on an area that has been bleached or disinfected, which catches a lot of people who tried that first.

Ours does not depend on live bacteria, so none of those conditions apply. And it is not a fragrance sitting over the top, which is the other half of what is on the shelf.

Give it a minute or two on the area before you dab it dry — that is the contact time doing the work. After that, do not judge it while the area is still wet.

On a fresh accident you should notice the difference once it has dried — a few hours, depending on airflow and how much you used. On an older spot, let it dry fully and give it a second treatment before you make up your mind. Air movement helps. A heater or hair dryer aimed at it does not.
