How to use it

Sprinkle the powder straight onto the wet mess until it is covered. Wait about 60 seconds while it absorbs. Sweep or vacuum up the dry clump and bin it.

For anything that has already dried into the surface, use the Pet Odour Control Spray instead — the powder works on liquid.

Where it works
  • Carpet and rugs
  • Hard floors — tile, vinyl, sealed timber, concrete
  • Leather and upholstery
  • Litter areas and trays
  • Crates, runs and laundries
  • Car interiors and boots
  • Artificial grass and outdoor pavers

Why wet messes are the hard ones

The mess moves. Then it stays.

A wet accident is a two-minute job if you lift it — and a three-week smell if you smear it. The difference is whether the liquid comes out as a liquid or as a solid.

01

Paper towel spreads it

Blotting a wet accident pushes most of it sideways and the rest further down into the backing.

02

Water makes it worse

Adding liquid to a liquid mess carries the odour deeper into carpet and underlay, where you cannot reach it.

03

The smell outlasts the stain

The visible mess comes up. What is left in the fibres is what you can still smell a week later.

How it works

Faster than paper towels. Cheaper than a shampooer.

No cloths, no bucket, no scrubbing.

1

Sprinkle it on

Cover the wet area completely. Do not add water and do not rub it in.

2

Wait about 60 seconds

The powder absorbs the liquid and turns it solid while neutralising the odour in it.

3

Sweep it away

Sweep or vacuum the dry clump straight into the bin. Nothing to wring out, nothing to wash.

For accidents that have already dried in, use the Pet Odour Control Spray.

Makes a difference

My cat has a habit of going in the same spot on the tiles… I just sprinkled it over the area, left it for a short time, and then swept it up. It absorbed the moisture well and made cleanup simple, with no scrubbing needed. After using it, the area was left much fresher and the lingering smell was noticeably reduced.

Rain-day rug misses: this powder addresses the lingering dog-wee smell

My two dogs are well house trained, so the only time we get any accidents is when it’s been raining… I still mop up the fresh mess first, then cover the damp area with the powder and let it sit before vacuuming it up. The powder behaves a bit like kitty litter, absorbing the residual moisture and leaving the rug dry and, in my case, with no dog smell afterwards.

Absorbs and deodorises well, just plan ahead for bigger accidents

My dog left a urine mess on the carpet and I’d run out of my usual spray, so I grabbed this instead… The smell was gone and the carpet felt dry rather than damp and lingering the way it does when I’ve just blotted with a cloth. Where it gets a bit more involved is with larger accidents — anything spread across a bigger surface area needs a fair amount of powder and a decent vacuum run to clear it all. No scent to the powder itself, which I was relieved about since some competing products leave a heavy fragrance that bothers one of my other pets.

Works well

This is a super sized tub, that will last me ages. It worked really well with clearing out that stinky sickly smell of vomit, which impressed me because I’ve found that a really hard one to get rid of… I applied it generously when I used it, and gave it several minutes to do its work. The clean up after the product’s use was pretty simple, and not the usual wrenching experience I go through with such substances.

Powerful pet odour remover

I used it on artificial grass where there were years of built-up pet odours… It left everything smelling fresh and noticeably cleaner, and I like that it's Australian made.

dose controll odours but its hard to clean up

I had mixed results with this pet odour powder… it does a good job of covering up the smell of dog urine and absorbs liquid well. However, I have used it for several days in a row on hard wooden floors and found it quite difficult to clean up afterwards. Once it absorbs the urine, it turns into a wet sand-like texture that doesn't easily sweep up. I found myself needing a dustpan and broom first, then going over the area with a vacuum cleaner to remove the remaining residue… Overall, it does absorb odours and moisture effectively, but the cleanup process may not suit everyone.

Why it works

From funeral homes to family homes.

The absorber came out of work nobody puts on a website — body fluid spills in Australian funeral homes and aged care, where you cannot mop something up and hope. Same job, smaller mess. If it holds up there, the hallway is not a difficult problem.

Questions

Before you buy.

Is it safe around cats and dogs?

It is made for family homes and formulated with that in mind. Keep pets and children away while you apply and while it absorbs, and lift the clump before they are back on the area. Avoid inhaling the dry powder directly, and keep it out of reach of toddlers like any household product.

Will it work on a stain that has already dried?

No — the powder works by absorbing liquid, so it needs the mess to still be wet. For anything dried into carpet or upholstery, use the Pet Odour Control Spray.

What makes it different from baking soda?

Baking soda absorbs a little moisture and mostly sits on top of the smell. This is an absorbent base built to take the liquid up and neutralise the odour in it, so what you sweep away is the mess and the smell together rather than the mess with something sprinkled over it.

Will it stain or mark my carpet?

Spot-test an inconspicuous area first, particularly on carpet, rugs and anything delicate or treated. Once you have confirmed it is fine, apply to the affected area.

Which size should I get?

The 200g suits the occasional accident and travels well in the car. The 900g is the one to keep in the laundry if you are dealing with a puppy, a senior pet or more than one animal.

How do I lift it once it has absorbed?

Sweep, scoop or vacuum — all three work once the powder has done its job and the clump is dry. For a large spill, sweep the bulk first and vacuum the residue.

What if it does not work for me?

Contact us within 30 days for a full refund or replacement. No arguments.

30-day money-back

Thirty days. No arguments.

Keep it in the laundry and use it on the next accident. If it does not handle it, tell us within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you — whichever you would prefer.
